Proposed Works

Water Mains MAJOR WORKS: Camden were supposed to hold a meeting on Monday 8th Feb 2016 at 6.30pm – 8.30pm at Sycamore Hall for all to attend.  They were to present their survey information as part of the Consultation period for Leaseholders to make their comments following the Notice Of Intention which was due to be posted to everyone prior to this meeting.  Camden intend to carry out MAJOR WORKS on the underground Mains Water Pipes on the estate. This meeting was cancelled by Camden at the last minute due to not having the appropriate figures.  On 20th April 2016, John Rutter (Consultation and Final Account Officer) confirmed that “the Water Mains project has been cancelled for now.  It will be re-tendered under the New Framework Agreement.  When this happens you will hear from us again.”  It is understood that there could have been a mistake as these works were “slated” without realising that Kilburn Vale does not have a communal Heating system, using the underground water pipes anymore.  This was removed/terminated in November 2011.

Proposed Flats on site of Garages in front of Sycamore Hall: Should this go ahead, this will NOT AFFECT the residents of this estate but is adjacent to where the Meeting Hall is located.  Please click on the “LATEST NEWS” on the Home Page for the link for information on the proposed flats that a developer who bought 6 of the 8 garages that are situated directly in front of Sycamore Hall (where we have our TRA Meetings)  – wants to build 6 FLATS in this space – comments must be in 31 Oct 15. (October 2015)

Proposed Flats on site of BIRD IN HAND PUB: This site is intended to be developed into 9 – 12 FLATS by Capital Architecture.  Their intention was to submit their application in March 2016.  All past applications have not been successful on the grounds of not being able to provide sufficient waste/refuse provisions and any new development would not get parking facilities**.  The TRA Sec has been in touch with the architects who have agreed to meet with the TRA before their full application is ready.  This site is the pub on West End Lane, in between Bishopsdale House and Holmesdale House.  Updates will be posted on our LATEST NEWS PAGE.  If you are not on our Mailing List, please email the secretary flaminia@f5ivepresents.com so you can be kept up to date with matters that may arise like this.  (8th Nov 2015 – updated March 201one of 6)  this project seems to have stalled and NO application has been made. (July 2016)

** It is Camden’s policy that anyone living in a NEW BUILD Property in Camden IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED from being granted a Parking Permit for the area.  It is one of Camden’s approaches to ensuring more people use Public Transport.  Residents of Kilburn Vale are not affected by this.
